|

Hi,
I have two games (not written by me, but by friends back in the UK) that I'd like to get groups together for. These would be casual, one off playtests, but would require a fair bit of serious attention and feedback during the post-game chat.
The games are:
Umlaut (by Rich Stokes): A game of metal, of big hair, blastbeats, 15 minute guitar solos and screeching vocals. Yes, it's a GMless game all about metal bands. each participant takes the role of a band through the ups and downs of their career. I played in an earlier playtest version of this at the start of the year and it was immense fun.
Duty & Honour (by Neil Gow): A game of the Peninsular Wars. In essence, this is 'Sharpe', the game. It incorporates both roleplaying and tactical elements into the structure of play, so I'm keen to see how that works in game.
If you are interested in either of these, please do respond in this thread. No prior playtest experience required, but a willingness to play the game, give it a go and offer feedback are a must.
Cheers

Duty and Honour sounds cool; what stage of playtesting is it at?
[Edit: If there's still a playtest copy floating around next July/August, I'd love to have a go if there are people keen.] _________________ Playing: Dresden Files RPG, 4e.

Thats no problem. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to timings and places, but I fully understand if things are a bit hectic. Are there any times, say, over the next two or three weeks that are any good for you?
In fact, the same applies to Paul as well.
Cheers

I'd say it's in the mid-early stages. You can find out more about it in the discussion that have been happening at The Collective Endeavour
Cheers

Actually, not really. Sometime after mid-November is much more likely to work out (my family has a lot of birthdays at this time of year).
However, my regular bi-weekly game is due to have a player away for a couple of sessions, and we were planning for something different. If you have no issues with Monday evenings, I can run the idea of you running a guest playtest past the rest of the group. Sound good? _________________ Games: http://genericgames.co.nz/

I would be keen for either of those.
I can do some weeknights and most weekends. Mondays and Fridays are however completely out of the question.
So let me know if you need a player for either of them.
Hugs

That sounds excellent, yes. Even just going through the creation of character and place would, I'm sure be beneficial.
Cheers

For respondents other than Mike who expressed an interest in Duty & Honour, would a Wednesday, maybe next week or the week after be any good for you?
Cheers

Wednesday, next week, is good for me. I've got the day off - so either afternoon or evening gaming will work. _________________ Cheers,
