By table top, you mean table top wargaming rather than table top roleplaying?

Because, IME, "table top" usually refers to the latter (as opposed to "live" roleplaying).

I was asked yesterday evening whether I was a "table top" player -- distinct, in this case, from a "couch" player. Hadn't heard that meaning for the term before, but it's actually kinda handy...

It would be interesting to gets peoples view on that. For me table top is War gaming in a general group, this also includes board gaming for me.

To me tabletop means roleplaying which is a. not on a computer, and b. not live action.
I've never heard it applied to Wargaming before.
