As Mike mentioned in another thread, we now have six eager facilitators ready to heed your requests at this years Games on Demand at KapCon. We'll also have a guest facilitator on hand for some of the time as well, the esteemed Mr Gregor Hutton, writer of such excellent games as Best Friends and 3:16, Carnage Amongst the Stars. We've flown him in at great expense to be part of KapCon*.

The list of games that will be available (follow the link above) is provisional and we may swap some games in or out to provide a more focussed collection. However, because we have two rooms and six people willing to facilitate games, we can run up to six games per session, which means there is even more chance you'll get to play exactly the game you want.

Obviously, we won't have six people for every single session, but there are enough of us that we can have a really good range of games going at any time.

If you have any immediate questions about GoD, about any of the games or anything related to the GoD experience, then please feel free to ask.

Cheers
Malcolm

*Or here might actually be here for Morgue and Cals wedding.

I look forward to meeting Gregor.

I will have to get him to sign my manky printout of the PDF of 3:16!

Re-reading games I am going to bring along is exciting.

There must be some Hero's Banner! Definitely one of the great, under-appreciated and under-played games of the last few years.

Just skimming the book again tonight reminded me of the awesome run we had of it... two years ago, I think... anyhow, the game gives you wonderful characters who burn quick, but oh so very brightly, setting the world aflame as they do so. Best scenario would be to run two generations, although that might be a bit ambitious for a three hour Kapcon slot (might be an option for a keen group to return for a second session, though).

Yay! Hero's Banner refresher run tonight, I'm looking forward to it.

I even dragged out what I think were our old characters to be the last generation's heroes (a thing the game does in campaign play), which will be interesting. I think we'll need to set it a couple of generations removed, given the time since we played, in any case.

Well, we had our probably final pre-Kapcon meeting today and everything seems to be suitably organized. Woo!

See you all there!

Anyone in GoD taking on Vincent Baker's Storming the Wizard's Tower? Sessions are playable in 2-3 hours.

I downloaded this the other day, though haven't had a chance to read it through yet. Looks interested though.

I considered it, but it looked like the game needed more time to simmer in my brain, and also a playtest, before g.o.d ready. Maybe next year.

Maybe. To be honest, Storming the Wizard's Tower seems much more suited to ongoing play than one-shots to me, at this stage. Possibly after trying it out my opinion will change.
