As I understand it, Kapcon is carefully designed to pretty much exactly break even each year.

At 20c per attendee, I am pretty sure you wouldn't want the hooker or the blow that it would buy. Smile

Actualy, Scott checks the bank account. I Have Nothing To Do With The Money; I just do the emails.

In past years I've been happy to keep on taking pre-regs right up to the day before (and solicited games the night before). This year, there were obvious impediments to that strategy, and other people wanted to see whether a hard deadline would encourage early payment.

There is a practical difficulty in that it normally takes a day or two for a payment to show up. So if you pay in the last few days, we might not know it on Saturday morning, which could cause mutual embarassment.
