Hi there

We are looking for one or more players for a science fiction campaign set in the Traveller New Era. We are using GURPS 4th edition as the game's rule set.

The scenario is a deep space technology recovery company which was recently established by a bunch of PCs and NPCs. The company has just acquired a used spaceship which it plans to take into largely unexplored (by Coalition technology recovery ships) space. The risks out there are Virus infested ships and robots, hostile post-Virus planets with lower-tech level civilisations, and other dangers. Essentially it is a pretty risky venture. New characters start as new ship employees.

Sessions are held every second weekend, usually on Sundays, with sessions running from 9.am until between 4.00 and 5.00pm at venues in Thorndon and Johnsonville on alternate dates.

If you are interested please contact me.

Thanks

Hi there

We have now had five sessions of the current campaign, but these have been hampered by player unavailability. Hence, we are still looking for players. We have tried weeknights, without much success, and have defaulted back to Sunday sessions. The campaign diary is available for people interested in seeing what has been happening. Currently the crew is stranded on a Tech 5 world (19th century technology) trying to find parts to repair their spaceship. This has necessitated a covert operation backed up by smash and grab missions. The last mission was a little more smashing than everyone expected, and things are looking precarious.

If you want to read the campaign diary, please email me.

Regards

We have now had eight session of the campaign, and things are looking for dicey for the downed crew. With no news from the engineers as to whether the covert operation has acquired (through fair means and foul) the components needed to fix the ship, the covert team in hostile territory has been captured by the local security forces. A rescue mission is required, and much violence, bloodshed, and explosive mayhem will transpire as the rest of the crew aims to spring their companions from almost certain death.

Interested . We still have openings for new players in the campaign because of the ongoing unavailability of our current players. If so, please PM for a copy of the campaign diary.

Regards

Hi there

We are still looking for players for the science fiction campaign. Two of our players are unavailable for the foreseeable future, and we need new blood.

We have now had eleven sessions of the campaign, and the characters are in the middle of a new adventure hunting for lost treasure in the shape of an Imperium era cruiser apparently hidden in the Shenk sub-sector. Finding it will bring considerable wealth, however, there are competitors for the big prize, and they have already killed. It is only a matter of time before someone turns up, and speaks the immortal line 'Badges, we don't need no stinking badges,' at which point things are going to get messy.

Are you interested in an stellar intrigue and gun play on frontier worlds where men are men, and so are the women. If so, PM for a copy of the campaign diary, which has now reached an unbelievable 44 pages long of death defying prose.

Regards

Hi there

Thirteen sessions into the science fiction campaign leaves us still short of players for what is proving to be an exciting and thought provoking campaign.

The characters are still in the Shenk subsector, currently supporting a Coalition covert mission to destabilise the totalitarian government of a sector planet. One of the spooks has managed to get himself locked up in a local gulag for unpaid traffic fines - which seems only fair, but the spook's team leader wants him back, and is not at all concerned about collateral damage inflicted in the process. The characters are not so sure about this approach, but the mission is on, and they have to infiltrate a prison labour camp to get the spook out. It promises to be a bloody affair, one way or another.

If you are tired of the tedium of endless fights with orcs and ogres in your fantasy campaign, and are interested in hijinks in space instead, and want the opportunity to climb into the space armour to duke it out with bad guys and bad robots with high-tech weapons, including ray guns and blasters, here is your chance.

If you want to catch up with the doings of the campaign, a comprehensive campaign diary is available. Send me a PM if you want to try your luck in a space campaign where men are men, and so are the women - only more so.

Regards

Hi there

Twenty sessions into the campaign, and we finally have enough players for effective sessions. We could still do with one or two more to give the away teams a bit more depth for those tricky situations.

Currently the ship is doing a technology recovery mission on a planet called Shenk. Once an ultra tech world, now the locals are stuck in the equivalent of the Middle Ages and suffering through the misrule of Technologically Elevated Dictators using relic technology to maintain their power. The local rulers are xenophobic, paranoid, and really not very nice people. The ship's crew is interested in making life a little more interesting for them, and picking up some nice loot in the process.

Does your sword and sorcery campaign bore you senseless? Are you ready to start throwing dice at the DM if he attacks your party with one more bloody orc raiding party?

If so, here is your chance to fill your characters lungs with the smell of ozone from firing their Laser Rifles, and feel the bullets ricocheting off their Space Armour. Does blowing something up with a rocket launcher smell like victory. Hell yeah.

So swap the magic swords for a Blaster, and come join the party.

Regards

Hi there

Twenty three sessions into the science fiction campaign, and the great Shenk treasure hunt is over, for the moment. Now the crew of the Aquila is enjoying some hard earned rest on a frontier world before once again plunging back into the chaos of the Wilds. This time they're thinking about plundering an high tech airless world world named Wall which was once home to billions and then killed by a computer Virus which opened all the airlocks, and now is only inhabited by homicidal robots and the corpses of the dead. The latter won't rise, but the robots are more than dangerous enough. Toss in some interstellar rivalry between the Coalition and the Solee Empire, whose greedy mitts have extended into the Wall system before, and the crew will be in a great deal of danger.

If you're interested in the adventures of the crew, a comprehensive history of the campaign is available. If you want to join the crew, and want a change from your current campaign, contact me for further details.

Regards
