Been a while since I've had a regular TT game to enjoy and I'm starting to feel the calling again.

I think what I'm after is a bi-weekly Old World of Darkness game. Pretty much anything other than Werewolf.

I'd be up for nWoD too, but I'm not super-familiar with it, save for Vampire.

Anything going in Welly atm that fits the above?

Might I be one to suggest that you are not looking for a OWOD game .... I know it is a bit wanky to say that.

Owod is really flawed. Maybe try the nwod or even my current fave, Dresden files RPG for all sorts of modern supernatural stuff

I helped write some OWoD stuff!! Wink

I presume you're talking mechanics here? I suck at mechanics, for good or for ill. It's the setting/soul of a game that gets to me. Old Changeling, for example, really grabs me. New Changeling, not so much.

But, I'd be willing to give nWoD more of a go than I have if it's a good, meaty game!

There's also some plain bad material in oWoD, like how most of the oWolf tribes were horrific ethnic stereotypes, verging on racist, or both. Dresden Files is pretty great, though.

I am talking mechanics, they do not so what they say they do.

No offense meant of course

I foresee that OWoD is going to have a big rennaissance in the very near future. Despite all its flaws, it was the game(s) that made the big splash.

I think I'm the opposite. I've dabbled in V:TM and M:TA, and I think I'd be interested in having a look at W:TA. My tangential experiences with it have indicated it is an easily broken game, but I have a couple of positive actual play reports for campaigns as well that intrigued me.

Changeling is probably still the most appealing overall though. Smile

Changeling appeals to me most too, even now. However, I would love to go back and do an iconic VtM game at some stage.

Then again, I would be sorely tempted to do a Monte Cook's WoD in its place Smile

I would be very very picky about the group I'd to V:TM or V:TR with.

McWOD is awesome, but really isn't operating in the same genre as oWOD.

You mean it has no katana wielding vampires in attack helicopters or vampire clans being extinguished with nuclear weapons?

OK you got me there Wink

Hmmm... this takes me back. I'd be keen to run one of these, although my availability is restricted..

Either after 8pm Weeknights (I work on Aust time)
Or the odd Saturday..

My preference of game is "iconic V:TM" Smile

I don't have time to write more, but will in the near future. Suffice to say at this point that I 100% disagree with this statement, and will lay out my reaons when I have more time.

oWoD rules - yes, the system is rough, but I find the games and their settings have a lot more heart than their newer incarnations.
