Yep. This all feeds into my point in that I am not sure that playtesting is really a significant barrier to running at Kapcon. There are opportunities out there, even for those who have a regular weekly gaming group.


They exist, but are new GMs aware of them? Do then know how to active them? Are they comfortable using them? If not, how can that be changed?

Those are all good questions that should be asked first up IMO.

For me, help with design of scenarios, and pointers for how to keep games running (the stuff about "yes, but" rather than "no", that I really should have internalized by now, are more important. Talking to GMs in more general senses is a lot of what my con-time is spent doing, when I'm not bundling up other compulsive admin voluntears and asking questions about how to run successful communities.
