Official guidelines say that PCs must be Essentials only, but we are opening the selection up to any WotC D&D source.

Can you create your own characters, and do they have to be essentials only?

I think that would be the definition of being opened up to any WOTC source Smile

So yes you can make your own characters, and they can be non essentials.

Ill be making a striker of some sort. Havent really played them yet.

I posted that addendum as Mat was posting his question.

Hybrids? I am happy to allow them if the player knows how they work and its not a serious headache. I would only ask that people resist from swapping PCs mid-chapter for no reason.

heh - do you regret this statement now, given how many of the characters at this table have turned out to be Hybrids? Smile

I was initially concerned but over the season I have become relaxed about it. I personally don't see much appeal of Hybrids but if they make other people happy, more power to them Smile

Yes I know what you mean ... I have found my Hybrid to be a little frustrating. I doubt I will play one again any time soon - especially not when there are so many interesting full classes to play anyway.

To be fair, some of my frustration could be due to my abysmal dice rolling Smile
