Hmm... when did we change the name to SAGA... 1999?

Down here, we usually use the adjective Cantabrian. In the case of SAGA this is true too, we have members in Temuka 'n' all!

How is it possible that something can remind you of gladiators in another other than a good way? Wink

I'm not sure when the Fantasy Gaming Society (The unfortunately acronymed FUGSOC) started. That was before my time, just like the dinosaurs.

You say "brings" like they aren't fleeing to the yard to escape you.

Whippersnapper Twisted Evil

I believe the original genesis of what is now SAGA Inc. was with the University Wargaming Society, which a mindworm tells me was back in the 70's. It became the Fantasy Gaming Society sometime in the 80's, after RPGers began to outnumber the wargamers. There are still people around who remember back then I believe, or were sufficiently close that it was recent history to them.

I could be wrong. Mindworms are tricksy things. Shocked

Ah, that's right, I forgot about the Wargaming club. I remember reading about them somewhere when I was a wippersnapper.
