Hi my name is Paul and Im new to Wellington.
I was hoping to meet some people to play games with. Anything considered really, have played a bit of D&D which I enjoyed but it was about 16 years ago!
Also started playing Settlers of Catan which I really enjoyed and also Zombies. Love HP Lovecraft and vampire mythology so would also be interested in Call of Cthulu or similar. Just bought Munchkin Cthulu the other day but found no one to play it with yet.
So anyway hoping that someone can point me in the right direction to meet some new people and have some fun while Im here.
Thanks
Paul |

There might still be a spot left at Dale's Fright Night Halloween horror mini-con (late October), which would be a good place to meet people. In particular, plenty of Lovecraftian goodness there! There's a thread in the upcoming cons area about it.
And come to Kapcon in January - it's a way off, but lots of good people and good gaming to be done there. Paul should have remembered that, as he's head honcho for the convention this year. _________________ Games: http://genericgames.co.nz/

Paul you really should remember Kapcon, You are running it after all.
Apart from that Hi and Welcome to Wellington Holmanp.
There is also fairly good chance of running into many people on these boards at Wargame Suppplies especially at lunch time. Of the peopel who work there Susan can point you in the direction of Roleplayers and Natalie really knows hewr boardgames.
Hope to meet you soon.
Hugs

Thank you for the replies and the welcome!
I work every morning so sundays are out I guess and I wouldnt want to break into a game already started.
However I would love to pop along to the pub on monday, what time do people meet? And the Cthulian goodness in October sounds cool, will check out whats happening when I have a few more minutes.
Thanks again.

People meet at the Ferrymans from about 5:30 onwards.
They tend have a range of boardgaming and sometimes roleplaying.
Unfortunately you wont find many people from this board there (I used to be regular until I got a monday night games and was there was about one other person who might check here who attended). Still you will meet some very good people and get to play some interesting games.
Also what time do you finish work? As work part time so will often have afternoons free (and I know I am not the only one who has sometime free during the week). So there is always the opportunity to arrange something.
Hugs

Sorry, just got back into the country. You can usually find me there, I find it's a good place for regular boardgaming.
The role-players seem to be fairly settled into their campaigns, but come along and chat. There's occasionally a new game being started/discussed.
It's also a good place to find your local L5R players _________________ There is no religion higher than the Truth |
