((Direct cut\paste from Wellingtonrpg))

Howdy all,

As the subject hinted, I'm looking for other players for a game.

I'm french-canadian (dont hold it against me plz) who've been RPing and LARPing for a long time.
I'm away from home since last November without any game and its starting to hitch...
Staying In Wellington for 4months or so and would like to find a group of ppl to join.
I'm in Karori, to be specific.

I've touched most of RPGs, but lately I've been focusing on ArsMagika and Shadowrun. Anything would be great, and even an old-school D&D would be a blast.

Please direct me to any group you might know with openings or even just where to hang around to be around gamers.
(I even M:TG if you have cards)

Cheers, Tarko (Taruko.sama at gmail.com)

Hi and Welcome

Firstly to simply meet a few new gamers you and anyone else are welcome to turn up to WARGS which is held at Wargame Supplies on the third Sunday of every month. It has its own forum here for more details.

If you dont mind students Vic games club meets every Friday during term time at the Student Union Building.

For primarily boardgames as well as some card games there is the Monday Night Forum which meets at the Ferrymans Tavern every Monday night after people finish work.

I dont know any game currently looking for a new player but somebody else might.

Hugs

Nasia

If you decide you want to run a SR Game yell out as I would be very keen to play and can offer a venue. The only day I can't do is Sundays.

Welcome, Tarko! A quick question - in your first post, you mentioned cutting and pasting from Wellingtonrpg. What is wellingtonrpg?

I thought he was referring to the old Yahoo Group which was created following the WbN LARP and saw activity mostly around Kapcon 10.

It's really low traffic (and mostly duplicated here as far as I recall), but it's good to have other locus from which to funnel victims gamers this way.

And because it's on livejournal low-traffic doesn't actually drive people away. Most posts there will get comments and such. Smile

It was started a few years ago after a discussion (on RPGcentral, I think). It was right around the time a bunch of people in the Wellington rpg community started using livejournal regularly.
