I know not many people agree with me on this, but if you are finding that you are struggling to finish up your Kapcon scenario, I recommend that you consider using the buzz you get for the 3 to 4 weeks immediately after Kapcon as motivation.

Yes, that means starting your scenario 12 months in advance (crazy I know but you could look at it as being 1 month overdue instead Smile), but IME this buzz makes Con writing much easier as the excitement and Con fever is fresh in the mind. You might even be able to playtest the scenario at Confusion of GoD Con.

Seconded! Some of my scenarios were 90% finished by the end of February, then sat on the shelf until November when I finished them off Smile

You can always use this year's for next year's if you don't finish it. That way you can say you started over 12 months early Smile

I know I've missed the deadline for this years Scenario Design competion, but is it acceptable to enter games that have been run at Fright Night? I looked back over my game "Judgement Night" the other week and it's actually just about in submittable condition (it would need a "How to run this game: Themes and motifs" section at the front as well as a little more detail on how the elements were designed to work together).

Cheers
Grant
