July 9 through 11
At the UCSA building.

Accepting GMs now.
Current preliminary Itinerary:
Friday Night LARP
Saturday Morning + Afternoon roleplaying sessions.
Saturday Night Grand Strat.
Sunday Morning + Afternoon roleplaying sessions.

LARP is, tentatively, going to be set in "The Verse" of Firefly/Serenity fame. This may be subject to change.

Grandstrat was, tentatively, going to be run by Dillion Burke, and may involve Giant Robots. I'll do my best to firm up either of these as soon as I can.

I better start working on a 'Verse-friendly costume then!

What's the status on the LARP? Still 'Verse?

Mafia:

Funeral for a Don

A Live Action RP by Alan Downward and Jan-Yves Ruzicka

Vito “Papa” Falcone kept the peace in the underworld of New York City for years. His death has made waves amongst the criminal community – here’s a chance for young, fresh faces to make their name, or for the more well-established members of the brotherhood to expand their influence. Whatever your position or motivations, it is the deals made at the funeral of Papa Falcone that will shape New York’s underground for the years to come.

Thanks for the heads up! I'd heard it was Mafia, but I hadn't seen the new site and logo. Very nice.

Yes, I can totally keep track of everywhere I'm advertising BoD Razz.

Yeah, new site, new page for BoD 2010. All info is going up there. Also, if you grab one of our OOCs, I believe that will have info on BoD as well.

Do I remember correctly that OOCs are downloadable now?

I tried that for a while, but in the end it just became too much work for me to do (and I wasn't even publications officer).

I can talk to our pubs officer about getting a pdf sent out to you - I don't know how much luck we'd have, but it's worth a try.

I'd have a look if they were online, but if you'd just be making pdfs for me, it's probably not worth the hassle. Are the contents posted to the SAGA blog?

Not currently. I'll talk to publications about putting articles up on there.

Things like Buckets of Dice, upcoming events, campaigns, etc. are all on the site anyway, but there's no articles going up yet. I'd be quite keen to do that - I'll bring it up with pubs at our next meeting.

I was under the assumption that OOC wasn't printed any more, thus not having them online. I'd also read them online as well, although my membership has somewhat lapsed being in another city.

While Alan was in charge of publications he planned to do it as an entirely online publication. Unfortunately I'm not sure if we actually got an OOC out at that point. When Rose took over we restarted it as a dead-tree publication, and got three out over the course of the year.

I'll be down for Buckets. Booked tickets this morning! Smile

Any clue who/what broke the Saga website's DNS records? You now need to put "www" in for the page to be located. I thought the site was down for a moment there...

Our current host (nearlyfreespeech.net) holds particular views about the presence/absence of the 'www' prefix. While they don't stop you using it, they suggest you don't, and give compelling arguments why you shouldn't.

I've made our bare domain forward to www.saga.org.nz so hopefully it shouldn't be a problem in the future.
