There is a bunch of info now available, including stuff on the homepage, a blog entry on monsterinsider.net and a podcast on teamcovenant.com.

In summary:

  • Release in April 2010, a couple of months later than the expected Feb release. According to PP because players felt the sets were releasing too fast.
  • 12 monsters (presumably 2 per faction)
  • 5 units per faction
  • 3 "civilian" units
  • 8 buildings (incl 3 monuments)
  • 6 "super-rare" character units (1 per faction - not sure if this is included in the 5 new units per faction or not)

Well, release is delayed until May.

Wargames Supply will be getting Big in Japan as soon as they can, so...

Pre orders? Last time we got too much, what do people want?

Cheers,
Rue.

I'm keen on a case (12) of unit boosters, and 3/4 case (Cool of monster boosters.

If it makes the difference between getting a launch kit and not, I could probably stretch to another 1/2 case (6) unit boosters.

Mega Kit is a box of each (Units & Monsters)

The launch kit is 6 boxes of each, & I find it unlikely that we will go through that many monster boosters boxes.

Sounds like we should be getting it in real soon!

I'll look at putting up a launch event, if people are keen?

I'm pretty sure we already have a BiJ event scheduled for next Saturday (26 June)... if the minis arrive by then, it could double as a launch event.

For those who don't already know: BiJ has arrived at WGS.

It also looks like we accidently got a launch kit (or at least a mega white dajan). To celebrate the launch, I'm going to run an unscheduled launch event this weekend. I've put it up in the PP events system as well.

Prize will be a mega white dajan - probably the only opportunity you'll get to win one in NZ. Depending on turnout, I might pull a second place prize from my own collection (or possibly one of the mega mechathugroshs we got) for second.

Susan has mentioned that she'd like to make it a BiJ event of some sort, which makes sense for a launch event. I think given that most of us will be buying some BiJ this week anyway, we should make it "BiJ forces only" event; specifically your force must consist of a BiJ monster, at least 4 BiJ units and at least one BiJ building or monument. If you choose, you can bring along a second force with the same restrictions as above and play dual force, but it isn't compulsory.

Spread the word!

I think those two statements are mutually exclusive... besides - we only got the one white dajan, so Susan has graciously agreed to run the event and I'll be playing for it. It shall be mine!

Only when I'm not playing...
Wink

(does smack talk count as bringing you joy? Never hurts to have 2 chances of winning...)
