Has there been anything organised? if so, what is happening? if not, lets get something sorted...

Ruby Lounge (our host for the past n years) has gone out of business; Nick is scraping around for an alternativ evenue (possibly Ferrymans? I can't remember). If he can't find one, then I'm up for simply taking somewhere over.

Why don't we just take over the Southern Cross? Or JJ Murphy's or even Bodega (if they don't have a massive band playing)?

That's the fallback plan.

JJ Murphy's has that upstairs space which seems to be usualy free-ish. I'd reckon the Cross would be harder to just "take over" due to how crowded it gets on a Fri.

Agree. If we get in fairly early with a decent crowd of people, JJs is probably a good bet. Southern Cross would just get unpleasant on a Friday night methinks.
