I think we're still better off than in '96, & '99 where a spike in on-the-day numbers meant that a lot of folk who turned up expecting to GM ended up only GMing... My first GMing experience, in '96 was based on turning up to play and there not being a game so being shanghaied right there at registration to run a two session AD&D 1st ed game.

Hey, maybe that's how you could "entice" GMs this time around. Every third person who arrives just gets given a scenario and told what round they're running in... Twisted Evil

Setting the schedule by press gang is not what I would call "enticing" people to take part. However, it would work pretty well, if we get a suitable team of grizzled veterans to go stalking the pre-Kapcon drinks for "volunteers".
