I think Norman might object to being invaded.

He should just lie back and think of England.

That's the funniest thing I've read all year. Laughing

Would it be possible at all to have two big LARPs? Eg Friday night and Saturday night, that way we could have one night for a rerun (eg an "old" auckland game) and one night for a new one?

I suppose it would be possible although I can think of few potential issues;

- The Friday night LARP would need to be broken down and the Saturday night LARP set up all on the Saturday. This would mean greater time pressure and the organisers/helpers missing more of the con.
- Clash with pre-con drinks.
- I'm not sure you would draw the numbers for both with the greater commitment for players with costumes and time.
- Might make the Kapcon too LARP centric and tread on Chimera's toes.

How much weight any of those carries would need discussion.

Speaking as Chimera, don't worry about this one. I'm all in favour of more larping in Wellington. Until you guys start billing yourselves as New Zealand's larp convention, it's not a worry Smile

People always think of England. No-one ever thinks of Sicily.

I was thinking about a Wellington larpcon on the car trip down this weekend. But we'd have to go for the easter timeslot (to ensure sufficient gaps with other cons), and we really don't have an appropriate venue with multiple spaces. Oh, there's Turnbull House - but the economics on that are no different from running an individual larp there.

If I didn't know better I'd think that this whole conversation was just a set-up for that joke. Twisted Evil

Is hiring Turnbull house not economically viable?

I think a Wellington Larpcon would be awesome.

A Wellington larpcon sounds like a better idea to me too.
