The other thread has basically descended into Nun madness, so I thought it might be time for the poll.

Did I miss anything? I may have been distracted by the nuns...

I was planning on waiting a month, to see if other ideas came out. But if there are writers inspired now...

I don't know if we need _more_ ideas. I reached the limit of what the poll would let me put in. I had to group Greek and Roman together. Wink

I'm actually not sure how to answer this poll. I want 3 votes.

I voted Mayan Apocalypse. But I also like Hong Kong at Turn of 20th Century, Gangsters, 1890s/1920s Egypt, and Medieval Abbey.

I guess in real terms, we're probably going to be happy with whatever we can find someone with the energy to write is happy with.

I voted Roman, If its that one I will break my LARP retirement for KXXI, I might for Gangsters as welll... I REALLY want a reason to buy a Metal cast 9mm Imatation Tommy gun and luger... I just can't justify it normally.

With needing to write 80+ characters, I reckon the LARP writers will appreciate all the time they can get!

I really like the idea of a lot of the ideas. I'm stuck as to what to vote for... Though the ones that appeal most are Hong Kong, Greek/Roman and Mayan Apocolarp.. I mean Apocolypse.

Sure. But we can afford a month at the beginning to kick ideas around. OTOH, the thread did seem to have died a nun-natural death...

Ditto. Though as for the Mayan Apocolarp, technically KapCon 2013 would be closer to the Stars being Right:

Yes. The ideas list is more to inspire writers and allow them to pitch their concepts.

Yes, if it's needed. We started planning for Sanctuary in January... If prospective writers have more time to think about what people want, that is good too. Smile

That was my thought. I also think keeping the momentum going is good, but I guess there are two schools of thought on that one.

Yeah, the poll is just reassurance for writers that they are giving (some) people what they asked for. I don't think we've had a Larp written that wasn't high up in the polls, but that's no reason not to write one. Not everyone who comes to Kapcon/plays in the Larp is active on these forums.

More that The Stars Are Right in December 2012, not January.

Actually, this is asking for a CASE NIGHTMARE GREEN adventure.

Actually, a Mayan Apocalypse larp could mean many things to different people. I was thinking pseudo-historical, but it could also be modern. I'm not nearly as interested in modern...

From reading Collapse, it'd be like Al Shir-ma, but with no happy endings.

Cheery!

Does give you a good basis for staying in the designated area:
"Sure, you can go out. But if you are lucky, you'll be devoured by an horrific, unearthly monster. If you're unlucky? Best not to think about it."

Haven't read it. It could be interesting to run a Larp set right after the collapse though...
